THE LEGS
Alpine Ski Leg:
The alpine ski leg is held at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. All Classes ski a 3,500 giant slalom approximately 3 miles in length, following the Women's World Cup Downhill course. Racing class will once again start at the top of Rendezvous Bowl. Recreation class will start off of Thunder lift.

The Cross-Country Ski Leg:
The cross-country ski leg consists of 10 kilometers of prepared track at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort over rolling terrain. A 3-5km running leg will replace the Cross-Country leg if there is insufficient snow.
The Bicycle Leg:
The bicycle leg is a 19.8 mile course that begins at the exchange area in Teton Village parking lot. The route follows Teton Village Road, Wyoming Highways 22 and 187/189, to the exchange area beneath South Park Bridge.

The Boating Leg:
The boating leg is on the Snake River and includes 9 miles of Class 1 and 2 moving water with small waves and strong eddy lines. The stretch is from South Park Bridge to Snake River Sporting Club Bridge (formerly Astoria Hot Springs)

COMPETITOR CLASSES
Please select a Class, then please select a category
Racing Class: Maximum of 4 team members.
Recreation Class: Maximum of 5 team members.
Youth Class: Competitors must be between the ages 10-18. Parental consent required.
Masters Class: Team members must be 50 years or older.
Categories
Individual: No assistance allowed except for holding equipment in exchange areas.
Team: Either all male, all female or mixed. 2 to 5 team members, except in the fun class.
OPEN CLASSES
Family Class: All must be members of the immediate family and include one parent.
One family member must be under the age of 18 or over the age of 65. (Age min. 10.)
Fun Class: Anything goes (within reason.) No
limit on the number of competitors or equipment. Tandems, tricycles, rafts, etc.
(human powered, no motors.) Be creative. Class entrants will not be judged on time,
but on how much fun they appear to be having!
EVENT DETAILS
Mountain access:
On race day, Saturday March 27th, 2010, Racing Class competitors and Recreational Class competitors use the Bridger Gondola and Thunder Chairlift. Uphill access will be open for competitors at 6:45am. Competitors bibs will allow lift access. The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort liability waiver, on the entry form, MUST be signed and submitted prior to the Pre-Race Meeting. Race day tickets will be distributed with the bibs.
Alpine Racers report to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort ticket office for one complimentary half day ticket for course inspection on Friday March 26th, 1-4pm. Special Gondolas at 3:45 and 4:00 are available to inspect the Alpine course as it is being set.
Course Alterations and Inclement Weather Procedure: The course may be altered at the discretion of the race organizers at any time prior to the race date due to weather conditions, matters of safety or any other circumstances which may warrant such action. The alternate race date in case of severely inclement weather is Sunday April 5th, 2009. Sufficient notice of changes will be made through the local media, the PPP website and via email to listed Team contact.
Parking: Parking is very limited. Never park on any shoulder of any highway. A vehicle parked on a highway shoulder and subsequently identified as associated with a team will result in said team's disqualification. Do not follow your team in a vehicle. Disqualification will result and the WY Highway Patrol will issue citations to those creating traffic obstructions. Do not linger on a bridge; if you must cross a bridge, do so with an official's permission. Spectator parking is limited at the finish line. Do not attempt to park near the bridge or walk on to the bridge. One parking permit for the finish line will be issued per registration packet. No Parking, only drop-off, at Astoria Launch.
Bibs: Bib number may not be altered in any way and must be visible at all times. Bibsmay be modified to aid transfer. Those competing as individuals may wear a life jacket over the bib in the boating leg, but boat numbers must be clearly visible. Separate boat bib numbers will be given and must be applied directly to the starboard side of the boat. Bibs must be transferred by hand, directly from team member to team member, within the designated transfer areas. No assistance from other team members or outsiders allowed. Bibs may not be dropped from the bridge to a waiting boater.
Dis-qualifications: Any dis-qualifications will be posted at the Awards Party.
StartTimes: Recreation Class start 8am - LeMans style in groups of 8-12, at 3 minute intervals. Racing Class start 9am - Individual starts at 30 second intervals.
Officials: All officials will be wearing arm bands on race day for easy visibility.
Protests: Any protests must be submitted within 30 minutes of the last finisher and
accompanied by a $50 non-refundable donation to the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard
Club.
Awards: The awards celebration will be held at the events tent at JHMR. More details coming soon
Nordic Aide Station: An aide station will be out on the 10km Nordic course.
Friday March 26th, 2010 Mandatory Pre-Race Meeting 6pm at the Snow King Resort in the Lodge Room.
One representative from each team must attend or your team will be
pulled from the event. Course updates, leg maps, rules, last minute
changes and general information will be discussed. This will be
your only opportunity to pick up your bib, boat number
andT-shirts. Start time information will also be available.
